2024 Student Scholarship Application

On behalf of the ICT Education Foundation, welcome to the Fall 2024 semester! We hope the academic year has kicked off with great success. Applications are now open, and you may apply immediately. We are accepting online applications until midnight on Friday, Oct. 11, 2024. Scholarship recipients will be notified the week of Nov. 11, 2024

The 2024 ICT Education Foundation Scholarship offers students the opportunity to be recognized for their academic achievement, involvement in various insurance-related groups, and interest in pursuing a career in property and casualty insurance.

To apply, students must complete the online form, providing personal details, academic achievements, and a brief statement of interest about their career goals. The process is straightforward and should take about 30 minutes to complete. Ensure all information is accurate and well-presented, which will be crucial in the selection process

Here is more about the scholarships that are available:

  • Scholarships go DIRECTLY to the student. This is money in your pocket and does not go through university in any way.
  • Scholarship criteria are to be determined by using key benchmarks including coursework, GIS participation, P&C work history or experience, the student’s statement of interest, and GPA.
  • ICT scholarships range from $1,000 to $5,000 per student.
    • Five - $5,000 awards
    • Ten - $2,500 awards
    • Twenty-Five - $1,000 awards
  • ICT does not guarantee that all applicants will receive a scholarship.
  • The ICT Education Foundation scholarship is competitive and not need-based.

Since 2002, the Insurance Council of Texas has awarded scholarships and other educational funds to Texas university students and partner universities to help nurture the next generation of insurance professionals. As of Dec. 31, 2023, the Foundation has awarded over $1.5 million in scholarships and educational funding to promote careers in the insurance industry.

Thank you again for your interest, we look forward to receiving your application and will contact you when all applications have been reviewed.
